Senior Engineering Leader is a structured, small-group coaching and training course for experienced engineering leaders to understand how to lead other leaders, run a department, and successfully contribute to a senior leadership team.
This course is suitable for engineering leaders who have experience managing individual contributors and seek skills relevant to leadership in senior roles. Course content is discipline agnostic (relevant to development, testing, etc.).
Public courses will run with small groups of people working in similar time zones, cultures, and problem spaces, at similar stages of their career.

Learn strategies to give your direct reports autonomy and accountability. Discuss effective delegation and how to implement change through others. Understand the fundamentals of coaching vs. mentoring.
Engineering Metrics
Implement systems of measure. Understand relationships between engineering metrics, business metrics, and budgets. Learn how to present engineering concerns to executive and board audiences.
Effective Partnership
Evolve your partnership with product and other non-technical roles to collaboratively set strategy and prioritise work inclusively. Discuss organisational designs and team topologies.
Engineering Culture
Discuss how to foster an engineering culture with consistent standards, learning, and innovation. Learn techniques to support diverse talent. Debate good engineering practices.
Engineering Strategy
Learn how to set and communicate an engineering strategy that resonates with engineers and the wider business, and balance strategic investment against maintenance, support, and technical improvements.
Navigating Turmoil
Discuss challenging situations and form personal strategies to navigate conflict and politics in your organisation. Develop heuristics for when to escalate or absorb, when to shield a team or share information.
